During the [[National Socialist]] period, the word "Blutzeuge" was also used to describe various people who died violently in connection with the struggle of the National Socialist movement for self-assertion and power in the [[German Reich]] ([https://archive.is/kvuWT ''Kampfzeit'']) or in connection with the securing of this power ("Bloodwitnesses of the Movement"). In this meaning, the term was referred in particular to 16 participants of the [[March to the Feldherrnhalle]] in November 1923, who were killed during the confrontation with police and [[Reichswehr]].
