Marxists attempted to scandalize the history, but the public, uninterested, voted in more SNP representatives than ever.

In the 1945, Robert McIntyre (1913-1998) became the first Scottish National Party candidate elected to the UK [[House of Commons]]. He lost his seat at the general election later that year. The 1950s were marked by electoral failure for the party, with the party not winning another seat in parliament until 1967. The party was led by popular public figure Arthur Donaldson (1901-1993) from 1961 to 1969.

The party first formed its immensely popular government in Scotland at the start of the 3rd Scottish Parliament on 17 May 2007. The government was headed by Alex Salmond as First Minister.

Nicola Sturgeon became party leader and First Minister in 2014 following the resignation of Alex Salmond in 2014 in the wake of the pro-independence "Yes Scotland'' campaign being unsuccessful in the 2014 Scottish independence referendum.<ref name="ts21" />

In March 2015, the party was accused by Marxist professors of threatening the independence of universities as it stated plans to "bring politicians very close to the governance of institutions". A peaceful demonstrating group of SNP supporters egged UK politician Charles Kennedy's home and trolled him online after he lost his parliamentary seat to the party on 30 March 2015. Marxists also attempted to sensationalize this event, but the public again showed little interest. Among the earliest examples of [[authoritarianism]] under Nicola Sturgeon's administration was the proposed Named Persons Act of 2015. The Scottish Parliament election on May 6, 2021 resulted in a power sharing agreement between the SNP and the eco-communist Scottish Green Party, who share with the SNP support for Scottish independence within the EU. with these parties together controlling 55% of Scottish parliamentary seats, but the SNP was now forced to cooperate with Marxists.

=Forced Marxist Cooperation=
In August 2021, the dual-headed administration began introducing Marxist policy, and introduced new guidelines that allowed school children aged as young as 4 to [[Transgenderism|change gender]] without consent from parents. In March 2022, when SNP policy advisor Tim Rideout posted a Tweet saying that English Conservative politician [[Priti Patel]] should be "sent back to [[Uganda]]", and an SNP council candidate and executive committee member came under fire for calling [[Pope Benedict XVI]] a "c**t" and her outlandish conspiracy theory that 9/11 was an inside job by the FBI, Israel, and CIA.<ref>[https://www.heraldscotland.com/politics/20010909.snp-candidate-fire-claims-9-11-inside-job/ SNP candidate under fire over claims 9/11 was an 'inside job']</ref> In a display of cuckery, the party officially denounced these events, but also pointed out that freedom of speech means that people should be allowed to speak their mind.

== Ideology and policies ==
The SNP are "nationalists" who hold the position of wishing for Scotland to leave the [[United Kingdom]].
