== About the author ==

[[Francis Parker Yockey]] (1917–1960) was born in Chicago, Illinois. A prodigious pianist and a lawyer by training, he worked briefly for the United States War Department as a post-trial review attorney for the [[Nuremberg Trials]] in Germany, a post he eventually left in disgust at the Allied occupation of Germany and the biased proceedings of the [[Nuremberg Trials|Nuremberg tribunal]]. He is best known for his 1948 book, ''Imperium'', a critique of 19th century rationalism and materialism that synthesised [[Oswald Spengler]], [[Carl Schmitt]], and [[Karl Haushofer]]'s geopolitics.
