Otto Ohlendorf (4 February 1907 โ 7 June 1951) was a German SS-Gruppenfรผhrer. He was the commanding officer of one of the Einsatzgruppen, Einsatzgruppe D, which was accused of conducting mass murder in Moldova, south Ukraine, the Crimea, and, during 1942, the north Caucasus. He was convicted of war crimes and executed in 1951.
Ohlensdorf was one of the most important confessors during the International Military Tribunal (IMT) but later retracted or changed many of his early claims. See the "See also" section regarding more details.
