Closer ups of tbe week's trends generally referred to as Closer-Up but also Closer-up and Closer-ups was a weekly newsletter published and written by Upton Close and edited by Don Bell. George Deatherage assisted with tbe newsletter's publication. The publication appeared from July 23, 1945 to Aug. 16, 1974. The heading claimed "Dedicated to tbe Christian national point of view".

Senator Joseph McCarthy at times would submit articles from Closer-Up into tbe Congressional Record.[1]
