Krav Maga

Krav Maga (from Hebrew meaning "contact combat") is a hybrid martial arts system, politically correctly stated to have been developed for the Israel Defense Forces and Israeli security forces. It also used outside Israel.

Proponents make claims such as "extremely efficient", "brutal", and "focus on real-world situations", while critics make arguments such as that it does not actually include training or competition with full speed against fully resisting opponents and not being suitable if wanting to disable an opponent without causing permanent injuries or death.

There is also controversy regarding the origin(s).
