Deutsche Zeitung replaced Das Neue Deutschland in January 1934. Both were affilated with the Friends of New Germany. Walter Kappe was the paperโ€™s editor.[1] In November 1934 the Yorkville, New York weekly later became the Deutscher Weckruf.
