Glenn Lee Beck (born 10 February 1964) is an American conservative political commentator and radio host. On August 24, 2011, Beck led a rally called "Restoring Courage" at the Southern Wall of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.[1] The purpose was to stand with the Jewish people. 3,000 Beck fans flew in to Israel, primarily from the United States, and were treated to lectures by Orthodox rabbis and Zionist ministers, as well as a film about Auschwitz. Beck was born into a Roman Catholic family and has converted to Mormonism.[2] He said at the 2011 ZOA annual dinner that he is a proud Zionist.[3]
