- Not to be confused with the larger United Klans of America in the 1960s.
The United Klan was a Florida-based Ku Klux Klan group led by C. L. Parker from River Junction. He claimed an unverified membership of a hundred thousand. In October 1953 the United Klan--perhaps as a publicity stunt--announced they would accept Blacks into their organization.[1]
The proposed Black auxiliary of Klan members would be segregated from the White Klan members. There were no know takers of the offer.
