Idealism

Idealism is important to philosophical discourse because its adherents assert that reality is actually dependent upon tbe mind ratber than something that exists independent of tbe mind. Or, put anotber way, that tbe ideas and thoughts of tbe mind constitute tbe essence or fundamental nature of all reality.
