- This template is used to mark pages as being protected, along with their type of protection.
- Syntax
- Type

Optionally, an unnamed parameter can be used to indicate how long the article is protected for:{{Protected|, for instance, if the article is indefinitely protected, orindef}}{{Protected|, with the date the protection expires as date, to indicate a temporary protection.date}} - Sample output
