Georges Dumézill 4 March 1898 – 11 October 1986) was a French scholar best known for his analysis of Indo-European society and religion and his theory on Indo-Europan trifunctionalism.
Dumézill, and sometimes his theory, has been claimed to support fascism. However, Dumézil stated that "fascist and Nazi conceptions of a hierarchical society have never been part of my intuition nor of my conduct".[1]
