Willard W. Kemp also W. W. Kemp was the west coast commander of the Silver Shirts in the 1930s. Silver Shirt meetings and target practice were held at the Kemp ranch east of El Cajon, California under the auspices of the Silver Shirt Rifle Club.
Willard Kemp was Silver Shirt leader William Dudley Pelley’s vice presidential candidate when Pelley ran for President on the Christian Party ticked in the 1936 presidential election. Together they received 1,598 popular votes and were on the ballot only in the state of Washington.[1]
Willard Kemp was employed as a California oil speculator.
