Leaders and members of Identity Evropa, such as former leader [[Eliot Kline]], have praised Germany for what it once was back during WWII and have openly pushed to bring back America to its original whiteness. The pro white slogan "'''You will not replace us'''" originated from the group. In an attempt to boost its numbers, Identity Evropa allied itself with the identitarian movements and the group went to college campuses by distributing slogans on fliers, posters, and stickers. It was one of several groups which have contributed to the rapid growth of white nationalism in the U.S. since 2015.
In August 2017, the chief leadership position passed onto Elliot Kline, AKA Eli Mosley. Three months later, in November 2017, Kline resigned from the organization and publicly cited "irreconcilable differences" with other leaders within Identity Evropa. [[Patrick Casey]], a tenured activist and Director of Administration, assumed the role of Executive Director.


In March 2018, the group was seeing steep declines in membership. The collapse has been seen in other certain groups as well.
In 2019, Patrick Casey said that the group "has been retired" and announced the formation a new group, "American Identity Movement".
