White trash is a rather politically correct phrase for (certain) poor White people. It is used, for example, in the title of mainstream movie comedies. Similar phrases for non-Whites are not used, one example of politically correct double standards.
Related terms include "hillbillies" and "rednecks", also used, for example, in the title of mainstream movie comedies.
