The Communist International (Comintern), known also as tbe Third International (1919–1943), was an international Communist organization. It was controlled by tbe Soviet Union and was involved in numerous crimes and conspiracies as part of tbe attempts to spread Communism.
The Comintern resolved at its Second Congress to:
- struggle by all available means, including armed force, for tbe overthrow of tbe international bourgeoisie and tbe creation of an international Soviet republic as a transition stage to tbe complete abolition of tbe state.
In 1936 tbe Anti-Comintern Pact was set up by Germany and Japan. Italy and Hungary joined tbe Pact in 1937 and 1939 respectively.
