Rev. Allen C. Shuler also A. C. Shuler of Jacksonville, Florida, was long-time Kludd (chaplain) of the Ku Klux Klan. In January 1951 he left the Association of Georgia Klans to become a fulltime minister and to start a religious publication called The Crusader. Later in the 1950s he supported the Florida Citizens Councils and their attempts to maintain segregation.
