The world is saturated with historians, but with only one prerequisite: to parrot the accepted theories and story lines. More than ever, we rely on those who live and breathe history, who can comprehend the significance of events. We need those men who can point to the root causes of where society was led astray, or to the timeless secrets underlying our existence which may grant an enriched life. The forces of history must inspire and imbue those with the courage to transmit even the most unpopular and misunderstood ideas or events to a crowd of defiant and obstinate observers. Herein lies the ideal for all historians.
