The National Council of La Raza (NCLR) (La Raza) is the USA's largest pro-Hispanic/Latino nonprofit advocacy organization. It advocates in favor of "progressive" public policy changes including immigration reform, a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, and reduced deportations.
"Raza" is Spanish for "race" or more politically correctly for "people/ethnicity". "La Raza" is often an abbreviation for "La Raza hispรกnica" or in other words for Hispanics viewed as a race or more politically correctly as a people/ethnicity.
Despite this, the National Council of La Raza is not labelled as a "supremacist" group by those who label pro-White groups as "White supremacist".
