Pierre Vial

Pierre Vial (born 25 December 1942) is an academic medievalist and part of the Nouvelle Droite and the Identitarian movement.

He co-founded GRECE in 1968, serving as its secretary general from 1978 to 1984.

Vial joined the Front National in 1988, reaching the leadership ranks. However, he criticized in both GRECE and the Front National a lack of focus on the ethnic dimension of identity.

He is the founder of the Identitarian organization Terre et Peuple in 1995.
