Charles F. Robertson was the editor of Gerald L.K. Smithโ€™s publication The Cross and The Flag. He replaced Don Lohbeck as editor in 1953. In 1956 Robertson was Smithโ€™s running mate for President.

Robertson was instrumental in bringing Smithโ€™s Christ of the Ozarks sculpture--often referred to by Smith as the "Sacred Project"--to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. In the small town, Robertson was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and later would become the town's mayor.

In 1985 Robertson published his biography titled The Peaceful Storm.
