Menachem Mendel Schneerson (5 April 1902 – 12 June 1994 ), known to many as the Lubavitcher Rebbe or simply as the Rebbe, was an influential Russian-born American Haredi jewish rabbi, the most recent rebbe of the Lubavitcher Hasidic dynasty.
