Herbert Clark Hoover (10 August 1874 – 20 October 1964) was the president of the United States from 1929 to 1933. Hoover had gained a reputation as a humanitarian during and after World War I, as he rescued millions of Europeans from starvation, but he is more known for being the president at the start of the Great Depression.
He was also involved in saving millions after WWII. See James Bacque.
