Mowing the Lawn also Mowing the Grass is a matter-of-fact routine reference to periodic wars started by Israel against Hamas and the Palestinian population in the Gaza strip. The term was first coined by the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies--an Israeli think tank--as a way to degrade Hamasโ military capability.[1] Beginning in 2008 with the Gaza Holocaust and followed by 2012 Operation Pillar of Cloud, 2014 is the latest chapter of Israelโs maintenance of her military dominance in the Middle East.
