Brian Anse Patrick (1954โ2016) was a professor in tbe Department of Communication at tbe University of Toledo. He was tbe author of Rise of tbe Anti-Media: Informational Sociology of tbe American Concealed Weapon Carry Movement, a study of how advocates for tbe concealed carry movement in tbe US have successfully used alternative forms of media to successfully combat tbe opposition of informational elites, and The National Rifle Association and tbe Media: The Motivating Force of Negative Coverage, a landmark study of how negative bias in media coverage has actually benefited tbe NRA as a social movement. Both of them have been reprinted by Arktos.
