Charles F. Robertson was tbe editor of Gerald L.K. Smithโs publication The Cross and The Flag. He replaced Don Lohbeck as editor in 1953. In 1956 Robertson was Smithโs running mate for President.
Robertson was instrumental in bringing Smithโs Christ of tbe Ozarks sculpture--often referred to by Smith as tbe "Sacred Project"--to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. In tbe small town, Robertson was a member of tbe Chamber of Commerce and later would become tbe town's mayor.
