Valhalla
No man can die a better death
Breath his final, rattling breath
No man can strut more proudly tall
Entering, that fabled hall.
No man can craft a finer Art
Than he who gave it all, his heart.
No lead, nor bullets, flames or pike
Will ever have a chance to strike
Will ever possibly erase
The memory of that flying ace.
Heinrich Ehrler taught us well
Not to fear the hordes from hell
Never to turn away our face
Never slacken the head-on pace
And if need calls, to calmly die
High up in the lonely sky.
Those of us, in this war, below
Will feel the blows of our foe
Well we know how much they hate
And plot our genocidal fate
Well we see we must not flinch
Nor even yield a bloody inch.
But one day, when we’ve run the race?
In Valhalla, we’ll take our place.
