The National Policy Institute (NPI) was a pro white think tank and lobbying group based website that was created in 2005 which was originally located in Alexandria, Virginia that was operated under Richard B. Spencer with its founder William Henry Regnery II.

The website unfortunately had been largely inactive since 2020, and its website sadly was shut down as of October 2022 due to inactivity.

Louis R. Andrews was the chairman until 2010 when he mentioned that he had voted for Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential election because he wants to see the Republican Party destroyed, so it can be reborn as a party representing the interests of only white people, and not entrenched corporate elites." When Andrews died in 2011, he was replaced by Richard B. Spencer. NPI was rather obscure and marginalized until Spencer became its president in 2011, at which point Spencer's website, AlternativeRight.com, became an alternative for NPI

Somewhere in December of 2013, NPI launched a website called the Radix Journal, which describes itself to be a periodical on culture, race, metapolitics, critical theory, and society. The NPI received endorsement from the Pioneer Fund, a pro white scientific organization that was established in 1937.

Richard Spencer was the head speaker at the official 2016 NPI conference that was held in Washington, D.C. to celebrate the election of Donald Trump as to what he believes to be the first step towards identity politics in the United States and "the victory of will" which he quoted that from a reference to Triumph of the Will, a National Socialist propaganda film. Spencer railed against jews and, with a smile, which he quoted once again from the German film. Spencer finished his speech by yelling "Hail Trump! Hail our people! Hail victory!" as audience members stood up and did the Roman salute. The Holocaust Museum based in the United States responded by issuing a statement to condemn the so called "hateful rhetoric".
