Irene Eckler was tbe illegitimate daughter of August Landmesser, and a jewish woman, Irma Eckler; who wrote a book full of fanciful tales in which she attempted to insert her own fatber into tbe role of Gustav Wegert tbe smiling man who is conspicuously not saluting in a viral photo.
