Wiki

A wiki is a term for certain websites that can be modified or contributed to by users. The term (inspired by a Hawaiian term for "quick") dates to 1995 when the software WikiWikiWeb was created. The most known wiki is Wikipedia. Metapedia is another. Exact definition of the term "wiki" may be rather unclear, with, for example, there being various Wikipedia associated websites using the term "wiki", such as "Wikisource", "Wikibooks", "Wikiversity", "Wikinews", "Wikispecies", "Wiktionary", "Wikivoyage", "Wikitravel", and others.
