Red Shirts (United States)

The Red Shirts or Redshirts were groups in the Southern United States opposing Reconstruction policies and the Republican Party, supporting the Democrats Party.

Politically correct sources associate them with various crimes, making no mention of the criticisms of Reconstruction policies.
