Edmund Burke (12 January 1729 โ 9 July 1797) was a British statesman and philosopher, important in the history of political theory.
Wikipedia states that Burke is "regarded by most political historians in the English-speaking world as a liberal conservative" and that he is "widely regarded as the philosophical founder of modern conservatism".
Burke had certain less political correct views regarding Jews and other topics. See the "External links" section.
