Dr. Martin Luther Thomas was a 1930s evangelical preacher from San Pedro, California who launched a fascist-style organization called the Christian American Crusade.[1] He was a Presbyterian pastor who delivered sermons over Los Angeles radio station KHY on a daily basis. In private talks for his most committed followers he issued warnings against the Jews and Communists that he claimed were taking over America.

His movementโ€™s official newspaper was The Christian American Crusader.

Thomas moved from Chicago to Los Angeles in 1924. He became an investigator for the Los Angeles City Attorney's office.[2]
