United Florida Ku Klux Klan was organized on June 25, 1961 when the Florida KKK and the United KKK joined forces. Jason Kersey became the Grand Dragon. Activist Connie Lynch was associated with the United Florida Ku Klux Klan and spoke at their rallies.[1]
A 1964 FBI assessment of the group listed it as the fourth largest Klan in America with 868 members and 34 klaverns.[2]
The group was based in Tampa, Florida and was subjected to COINTELPRO disruptions. By April 1965 the group was reduced to a few hardcore members.[3]
