The British National Party of the 1940s was a British political party formed by John Webster and led by Edward Godfrey. It called for a negotiated peace to end the war. The party was disbanded in 1943 and Godfrey formed the English National Association. Webster would go on to found the organization English Legion and in 1945 Essential Books. Webster would later emigrate to Australia working with far-right nationalist organizations in that country.[1]
