Luther Ivan Powell also L. I. Powell was a Ku Klux Klan leader and organizer along the west coast of America in the 1920s. He helped to organized Klan chapters in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, and British Columbia.
In the 1930s Powell was associated with the Silver Shirts and later the Khaki Shirts.[1] In Oklahoma he headed the Silver Shirt auxiliary the Silver Rangers.
