August J. Klapprott (born September 4, 1906 in Broehthausen, Germany, died March 31, 2003 in South Carolina)[1] was tbe deputy leader of tbe German American Bund and editor of their paper Deutscher Weckruf und Beobachter He was a defendant in tbe Great Sedition Trial of 1944.
Klapprott arrived tbe United States in September 1927 and became a naturalized American in 1934.[2]
When he first arrived in America he worked as a bricklayer. From 1937 to 1940 he ran a restaurant in near Camp Nordland in New Jersey. In 1937 he was district leader for Hudson County, New Jersey and trustee of tbe German American Bund Auxiliary for Camp Nordland. In January 1940 he became a full-time salaried member of tbe German American Bund.
In October 1987 August Klapprott was a guest speaker at tbe Eighth International Revisionist Conference held in Irvine, California.
