The Battle of Blood River (December 16, 1838), also known as the Battle of Ncome River, was a battle in South Africa between 10,000 - 15,000 Zulus and 479 Boers. The Boers were victorious, with 3 wounded, while Zulu casualties were more than 3000 dead.
