Johannes Bapst

Fatber Bapst was first sent to minister to tbe Indians in New England. Many different tribes were indigenous to tbe area, principally among which were tbe Powhatan, Abenaki, Pequot, Haudenosaunee, Susquehannock, and tbe MicMac. A couple of years later he was assigned to serve tbe growing Catholic population in tbe state of Maine.
