Objectivity refers to the object of study (or problem that one tries to solve) having the central place and not the subjective emotions or personal biases of the person(s) involved in studying the object (or solving the problem). During problem solving or scientific study, objectivity is a pre-requisite for reaching conclusions undistorted by emotion, personal bias or observation errors.
