Prognathism

Prognathism is the condition of having a jaw, and typically a lower jaw, that projects forward, especially to an unusual degree.. Its opposite, Orthognathism, was considered the artistic ideal in traditional Western culture. Mongoloids are typically less prognathous than Caucasoids, who are in turn less prognathous than Negroids and Australoids. See r-K selection theory for further elaboration of this.
