Gott mit uns

Gott mit uns literally means God with us. An expression dating back to Roman times, it became especially popular in the German Imperial military service and selected coinage. Following the start of WW2, Gott Mit Uns was proudly displayed on the front of 3rd Reich Wehrmacht belt buckles.
