The September 11 attacks, more commonly referred to as 9/11, are both terms used to refer to the four alleged al-Qaeda suicide terrorist attacks targeting the United States of America on September 11, 2001. As the story goes, a group of nineteen terrorists hijacked four commercial airliners scheduled to travel from the New England and Mid-Atlantic regions of the East Coast to California. The hijackers crashed the first two airliners into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, which is the most famous and recognized of these four attacks.
