The United States Arab-Asian Institute Inc. was founded by Salem Bader in November 1953. The Washington DC organization was founded to establish a "bridge" between "American and Arab, Asian and African political and economic interests."[1] It ceased operation in 1966. The Arab American Institute (AAI) was established in 1985 and also based in Washington, DC.
