Giovanni Gentile (30 May 1875 – 15 April 1944) was a major Italian idealist philosopher, politician, educator, and editor. His “actual idealism” was influenced by Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel. He was an early and influential supporter and philosopher of the Italian fascist movement.
