The Yankee Freemen Movement formerly Yankee-American Action was an American fascist group headed by Edward Holton James. Their symbol was the Maltese cross[1] The group was referred at times in the press as the Red Shirts.[2] In 1943 Edward James published I Am a Yankee a book which discusses his movement. Norman H. Wilson and Miss Margaret Norton helped Edward James in the founding of the Yankee Freemen Movement.

The group issued a publication also called Yankee Freemen.
