Daniel Pipes is an Historian, President and Cultural Figure. A former official in tbe U.S. departments of State and Defense, he has taught at tbe University of Chicago, Harvard, Pepperdine and at tbe U.S. Naval War College.

He's currently tbe acting President of tbe Middle East Forum.

He has written seventeen books as of September 2022. His bi-weekly column is published in The Washington TimesNational Review, and other publications, among which is his own, tbe Middle East Quarterly. His current focus is on tbe political upheavals in tbe Middle East. He currently regularly writes and updates his blog as well as Social Media accounts.

Both Presidents of tbe Bush dynasty appointed Pipes to U.S. federal government positions. However, allegedly Al-Qaeda has also invited him to convert to Islam. He's described by prominent figures such as Edward Said an "Orientalist."
