Request for comments to the page of Mister Plinio Salgado -- Cssdixieland (talk) 22:06, 21 November 2022 (UTC)

Gentlemen,

The page dedicated to this important figure of Brazilian History seems to have been copied by chunks from other sources, but with a few factual errors, without a comprehensive explanation of the life and work of Mister Salgado, and without any indication of his legacy. A legacy which, although relatively minor, is present in Brazil until today. Three political groups still call themselves 'Integralistas'.

It is proposed by CSS Dixieland to rewrite this page with a more exhaustive description of the ideas and history of the Integralist Movement, its influence in contemporary Brazilian society, its most important identifying elements (such as its music, uniform and symbols), and some hyper links to relevant sources.

Most of those sources are in Portuguese, but in that language there is no lack of information. Several books have been written about the subject, besides plenty of journalistic articles and academic essays.

The Administrator of Fascipedia, Mister Archangel, indicated in our page of the Blue Division that it is not usually necessary to specify changes in rich detail in the talk page of an entry, prior to inclusion of those changes into the regular page for that entry. Therefore the procedure of CSS Dixieland will be reversed here. Changes will be written DIRECTLY to the regular page for Mister Plinio Salgado, and any corrections or new data indicated by our Illustrious Members can be written here in the talk page, or in the regular page, or in both. Hopefully this procedure will make the task of editing less cumbersome.

In the regular page the English language must be used, but here in the talk page our Eminent Members are invited to write their corrections, data or comments in Portuguese if they feel more comfortable, or in any other major European language. If necessary CSS Dixieland will translate the most relevant parts for the benefit of other Members. Please formulate here any questions or doubts.

One of the most important points will be to decide if we must add detailed information hither to the page of Mister Salgado, or if it might be better to create a new page called 'Integralist Movement' (Movimento Integralista). For now the information will be included in this page, but some parts may eventually be moved to a page about the movement, instead of staying in this page about the founder.

Thanks for contributing, and receive all of Ye a Confederate Salute.

Our format would be to vteate an article called "integralism", then have redirect pages name "integralist', "Interalist movement", "Integralists" (plural), and "Integralist Movement" (Cap "M") all point to it. Thats How I've been doing, or at least trying to do, all the "-isms". π˜Όπ™§π™˜π™π™–π™£π™œπ™šπ™‘ 22:15, 21 November 2022 (UTC)

Understood, Sir. Then it may not be necessary to write a full formal letter as acknowledgement of the official policy of Fascipedia, just this short note. Nothing will be written by CSS Dixieland in the page of Mister Salgado, but there is profuse information that can be written in the future page of Integralism (or Integralist Movement, or Brazilian Integralist Action, or whatever name be chosen). Please be kind to inform of the creation of that page, so that our text will be published in it.

On a different subject, but taking the opportunity of this note for also mentioning it, the name used in Metapedia is not CSS Dixieland, but Captain Stonemann. It probably became clear when the hyper link was sent to Fascipedia regarding our history of contributions in Metapedia, but at any rate it will not make any significant difference for the purpose of contacting that great contributor that we wish to attract.

Receive a Sincere Salute from this Your admirer, Sir. And please... indulge my 'strange' peculiarities.
