Edgar Steele

Edgar James Steele (July 5, 1945 - September 4, 2014) was an American freedom activist, attorney and author in the United States. He ran the website "Conspiracy Penpal". Steele had been stalked and hounded by Thejewssupremacist hate group the ADL.

Notable cases

Steele defended Aryan Nations leader Richard Butler in a 2000 lawsuit, which attracted the attention of the ADL, which launched a major campaign against him, including, ultimately, a murder frame-up.

In another case, Steele overturned Idaho's unconstitutional hate crime laws in defending Lonny Rae, a man who had been charged with malicious harassment for shouting "nigger" at a referee who had assaulted and injured Rae's wife, Kimberly (a reporter for a local newspaper), following a high school football match. Steele argued successfully that the law breached the constitutional right to free speech under the First Amendment. Rae was cleared of the harassment charge but sentenced to seven days imprisonment for assault, which in 2004, was ALSO overturned on appeal; which was also successfully handled by Steele.

Steele also formerly worked as a spokesman for Prussian Blue, a female pro-white pop music duo that was active in the mid-2000s, and successfully protected Their artistic rights.
