The Croatian Party of Rights(HSP) is a Croatian fascist and conservative political party that was founded on February 25, 1990. The party was revived and named after the fascist Party of Rights, which had disbanded in 1929 after communists outlawed all political parties in the country. Its Croatian Defense Forces (HOS) took an active role in the defense of Croatia during its war of independence against Yugoslavia. The party never held more than 8 of the country's 151 parliamentary seats, and it lost all of its parliament seats in 2011, remaining an extraparliamentary party for years. The party departed from its past to become an ethnocentric and traditionalist party, and it became more of a political movement during the 2000s as it lost representation in the government. In 2011, the party had 41,400 members.
